Beophwan Port is also called ‘Maksukgae.’ The name ‘Maksuk’ comes from the fact that General Choi Yeong built a barracks here at the end of the Goryeo Dynasty and used it as a lodging for his soldiers to defeat the enemy. It belongs to Jeju Olle Course 7, so it is good for hikers to enjoy the surrounding scenery. From here, you can see Beomseom Island, Seopseom Island, Munseom Island, and Saeseom Island at a glance on the sea. ‘Jamnyeo Square’ has been created with a statue of a female diver installed, and you can also see people enjoying fishing, allowing you to feel the beautiful atmosphere unique to Jeju that is naturally harmonized with the sea.
