마곡사는 640년 자장율사가 창건한 사찰로, 역대 왕조를 거쳐 여러 차례 중수되었습니다. 사찰에는 많은 보물과 문화재가 있습니다. 이 사찰의 흥미로운 점은 임진왜란, 한국전쟁 등 어떤 큰 전쟁에도 피해를 입지 않았다는 점이다.
