북한산성은 백제시대(기원전 18년~서기 660년) 132년에 처음 축성된 북한산성은 고구려군으로부터 백제를 지켜낸 최북단 요새였다. 475년 치열한 전투 끝에 성이 고규려의 손에 넘어갔다. 그 결과 개루왕은 죽고 백제 공주는 웅진성으로 도망갔다. 북한산성은 성곽의 붕괴와 재건에도 불구하고 한국 전쟁사 전반에 걸쳐 수도를 지키는 중요한 역할을 계속해왔습니다.
