雪嶽山是太白山脈的最高峰，一年四季風景優美。寒溪嶺、彌四嶺以東為外山岳（「外雪岳」），以西為內山岳（「內雪岳」）；以及韓溪嶺山口以南為南段（「南雪岳」）。
