Description of art	“My Village: October 1987” (1987) portrays a scene where the slightly faded restaurant and corner grocery store signboards presented in the foreground lend an air of desolation, while in the background the mountain ranges and trees filled with yellow gingko leaves clearly indicate that it’s autumn. In contrast to the vibrant streets of June, just a few people are sharing rice wine together, and a large, red truck loaded with Coca-Cola bottles has gone deep into the town, occupying most of the center of the canvas. These images represent the atmosphere of a neighborhood where silence hangs in the air.
