Description of art	〈2011 Years Series: Thoughts〉(2011) was created while Jeong was preparing for a photo exhibition dedicated to her late mentor Kim Young Soo. It is a series of photos of dried flowers and plants she herself made on an antique container. The container was purchased by Kim Young Soo at a street stall in Insa-dong during his lifetime. The series includes more than 10 years of works. The trace of the long years between the mentor and mentee is reflected in the faded color container and delicately dried plants in addition to the fine dust that gradually fell on them. After the two contrasting objects met and spent a long time together, they naturally became one. At some point, the flow of time does not feel like a change but a continuation and perpetuation. The photos of objects, which were slowly taken over a long time in a pitch-black background, seem rigid, calm, and even sublime as a fossil. After her mentor’s death, Jeong took about 20 photos encompassing this time of yearning and mourning.
