Namae-ri, which surrounds the beautiful lagoon Maeho, has a total of three beaches. Among them, Namae Beach, located in the far north, is the largest. The white sand beach is 2km long and 100m wide, with an average water depth of 1~2m, a gentle slope, and good sand quality. In addition, vast reed fields spread out on both sides of the Mae Lake waterway that flows into the sea, and in the fall, the scenery of the golden reed fields shimmering under the sunlight is as beautiful as a picture. Namae 3-ri Beach is 1.3km long and 100m wide, and is close to Namae Port, so you can easily taste fresh seafood. Namae Port is also a famous sunrise spot on the East Coast along with Chuam Beach in Donghae City and Naksan Beach in Yangyang. The southernmost Namae 1-ri Beach is a small beach with a length of 0.6km. Near Maeho, there is a breeding ground for egrets and herons, which has been designated as a natural monument.
