Bibongsan Mountain (458m), a Jinsan mountain in Yanggu, is famous for Bibongjoyang (飛鳳朝陽, sunrise on Bibongsan Mountain), one of the eight scenic views of Yangnam that represented this region in the past. The Chunghon Pagoda was built in 1967 to commemorate the souls of the local people who perished while fighting the communist army. On the southern slope of this mountain, the endemic plant G. ginseng grows wild. It is found only in Korea in the world and is known to have three distribution areas along with Bukcheong in North Hamgyong Province and Maesan in North Pyongan Province. The Yanggu region is known to be the southern growth limit of this plant. . In Yanggu-gun, a statue of Park Soo-geun, a Western-born painter from the area, was installed at the foot of Mt. Bibong, and other walking trails, exercise equipment, and hiking trails were maintained. The hiking trail from Bibong Park in Jungni to the spring is 2km long and takes 1 hour.
