Yongsu Port is a small fishing port located in Yongsu-ri, Hangyeong-myeon, and is also called Yongsu-ri Port or Yongsu Port. It is the final destination of Jeju Olle Course 12 and the starting point of Course 13. The old name of Yongsu Port was ‘Udupo’, referring to the port at the foot of Someori Koji. In the waters off Yongsu Port, you can see the blue silhouette of Chagwido Island, the largest uninhabited island in Jeju Island. On both sides of the port, there stands a tower that protects the village. It is called ‘Maejujega’ because it resembles the shape of the beak of the sun. This is Yongsu Port, where Korea's first priest, Catholic Father Kim Dae-geon, was ordained a priest in Shanghai, China in 1845, and was then caught in a storm while returning home. Afterwards, the Catholic Diocese of Jeju declared this place a sacred site, and in November 2006, a memorial hall for Father Kim Dae-geon's drift was built in front of the port, and a memorial cathedral was built next to the memorial hall in September 2008. Nearby tourist attractions include Jeolbuam, which has a heartbreaking story, Chagwido, an uninhabited island in Jeju, and Hyeopjae Beach, which many people enjoy.
