As the name suggests, there are twelve waterfalls in the 10km-long Bogyeongsa Valley at the foot of Naeyeonsan Mountain (930m), about 30km north of Pohang. The 12 waterfalls are a rare place in the world and are crowded with vacationers in midsummer. About 1.5km from Bogyeongsa Temple, there is the first waterfall, Ssangsaengpok (5m high), and the most famous waterfalls are the 6th waterfall, Gwaneumpok, and the 7th waterfall, Yeonsanpok. Gwaneumpok is a two-step waterfall with a height of 72m. There is a Gwaneumgul cave about 10 pyeong wide on the rock wall, and the total width is 30m high, and the rock wall is called Haksodae. The valley here is not that steep, so even children can climb it.
