Juheulgwan, the first gateway to Mungyeong Saejae, is located in Mungyeong-eup, Mungyeong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. This place, located at the beginning of Mungyeong Saejae, is the gateway to Seoul from the Yeongnam region and a military fortress. It was built in the 34th year of King Sukjong's reign (1708) to ward off Japanese troops, and is currently designated as Historic Site No. 147. You can walk from the entrance to Mungyeong Saejae Provincial Park to Juheulgwan, or you can also take the electric car. If you use the train, get off at Mungyeong Saejae Open Set. It is close to Yeonpung IC and Mungyeong Saejae IC, and nearby is Joryeong Mountain Natural Recreation Forest.
