‘Pulkkotnuri’, a natural dyeing business, is located near Deokcheonseowon in Sicheon-myeon, Sancheong-gun, where the spirit of Nammyeong Jo Sik remains. In order to systematically record 173 traditional colors and continue their legacy, a corporation called ‘Sancheong 173’ was established. In 2015, through a local agricultural specialization project, we opened an experience center to promote natural dyeing experiences in earnest, and are working hard to inform the general public about natural dyeing by actively participating in various events in the Sancheong region, such as the medicinal herb festival. Tourists who visit the workshop can make various small items, including scarves dyed in only one color in the world, masks, pouches, and sachets. In addition, we also run a store selling postcards and other daily necessities so that you can experience traditional colors in your daily life.
