여좌천 일대는 진해의 벚꽃 명소로 잘 알려져 있다. MBC 드라마 '로맨스'(2002)의 두 주인공 관우와 채원이 진해 군항제를 즐기기 위해 진해를 찾은 관광객으로 처음 만난 다리가 있는 곳이기도 하다. 방송 이후 이 다리는 순식간에 인기를 끌며 '로맨스 다리'로 널리 알려지게 됐다. 매년 4월이면 진해시 전체가 벚꽃으로 뒤덮인다. 하지만 여좌천 일대는 벚꽃이 가장 아름다운 곳으로 최고의 관광명소이다.
