余佐川周边地区是镇海最好的樱花观赏地之一。 MBC电视剧《浪漫》(2002年)中的两位主角冠宇和彩媛作为来到镇海参加镇海军港祭的游客第一次见面的地点就是这座桥。该剧播出后，这座桥立即走红，被人们称为“浪漫桥”。每年四月，整个镇海市都开满了樱花，但余佐川地区的樱花最为美丽，成为主要的旅游景点。
