신흥동 일본식 가옥은 2005년 등록문화재로 지정됐다. 히로쓰 가옥이 위치한 신흥동 일대는 일제강점기 부유층의 주거지였다. 이 집의 이름은 이 집을 지은 사람인 히로쓰의 이름을 따서 지어졌습니다.
'장군의 아들'(1990), '바람의 파이터'(2004), '타짜'(2006) 등 여러 한국 영화와 드라마가 이 집에서 촬영됐다. 이 집은 지붕, 외벽, 내부 공간, 일본식 정원의 원형을 그대로 유지하고 있는 전형적인 일본식 2층 목조 주택으로 건축사적으로 중요한 의미를 갖습니다. |
