仙雲寺は百済王威徳王24年（577年）に建立された寺院として知られています。全羅北道曹渓宗第二総本山です。寺院の由緒書によると、元々は 89 の庵と 3,000 人の僧侶を擁する非常に大きな寺院でした。現在は道五庵、蚕堂岩、東雲岩、石山岩の４つの庵だけが残っている。また、寺院にはㅁ天然記念物に指定されているツバキの森など、25の有名な遺産があります。毎年4月にはこの森をテーマにしたお祭りが開催されます。
