가학동 고인돌 유적지는 장례를 치르기 전 종교의례를 거행하던 고대 유적지이다. 벌말마을 산 정상에 위치한 이 유적은 청동기시대 유적지로 거석 숭배의 흔적이 남아 있다.
6기의 고인돌이 있는데, 의례공간의 서쪽 끝에 탁자 모양의 고인돌이 있고, 반대쪽에는 나머지 5기가 동서로 배열되어 있다. |
