國立望香公墓為在異國居住和去世的韓國人的靈魂提供安息之所。韓國政府於1976年為在日本殖民統治下被迫離開深愛的祖國並最終在異國他鄉去世的同胞建造了這座墓地。除了墓園外，墓園還設有大韓航空紀念塔。每年秋天，都會舉行大型追思會。
