和顺恐龙足迹遗址是1999年在为建设和顺温泉区进行土地测量时发现的。韩国发现的恐龙足迹大多位于海南、宝城等城市的沿海地区，因此在全罗南道内陆地区的发现尚属首次。这里的大多数指纹来自白垩纪时期的肉食恐龙。该遗址因有至少五种不同恐龙的足迹而闻名，也是最长的足迹和恐龙精确运动的最直接例子之一。一种恐龙的足迹是世界上最长的，长达 40 米。根据足部尺寸20-22厘米、步幅约90厘米，推测这些脚印是由身高4-5米的库拉鳄形成的。除犬食性恐龙外，还发现了 12 种草食性恐龙的足迹以及植物化石。这些植物为食草恐龙饮食的研究提供了很大帮助。
