青山（靑山）这个名字的意思是周围的一切——山、海、天——都是蓝色的。青山岛是距离全罗南道莞岛19.2公里的一座风景秀丽的小岛，是多岛海最南端的岛屿。该岛东临巨文岛，西临松安岛，南临济州岛，北临神芝岛。青山岛于1981年12月23日被指定为多岛海海上国家公园的一部分，并于2007年12月1日被指定为亚洲第一个慢城市。游客在岛上行走的速度越慢，岛屿就越美丽。同样，该岛还被韩国旅游发展局和 CNN 评选为必去旅游景点之一。岛上还拥有宝贵的农业资产——梯田。
