충의사는 조선 선조 때 큰 장군이었던 정기룡 장군의 위패를 모신 곳이다. 1974년에 사찰과 관련 유물이 지역문화재 기념물로 지정되었습니다. 1978년에는 보물로 지정되어 있는 정기룡 관련 유물을 전시하는 박물관으로 확대되었습니다. 매년 10월에는 상주성 수복 재현 행사도 열린다.
