忠義寺內供奉著朝鮮宣祖統治時期的偉大軍事將領鄭基龍將軍的牌位。 1974年，該寺及相關文物被指定為地區文化遺產紀念物。 1978年，該地區擴建，增設了一座博物館，展示與被指定為國寶的鄭基龍相關的文物。每年十月，寺廟也會舉辦尚州城恢復重建活動。
