忠义寺内供奉着朝鲜宣祖统治时期的伟大军事将领郑基龙将军的牌位。 1974年，该寺及相关文物被指定为地区文化遗产纪念物。 1978年，该地区扩建，增设了一座博物馆，展示与被指定为国宝的郑基龙相关的文物。每年十月，寺庙还会举办尚州城恢复重建活动。
