維峰寺位於無極門（彩虹門）和維峰村之間，是湖南地區的一座主要寺廟，曾經管轄著 52 個分寺。據說是由西岩和尚於 604 年（百濟武王 5 年）建造的，現存的建築可以追溯到朝鮮時代。如今僅存普光明殿（寶物第608號）、與舍（省文化遺產第698號）、三成閣。尤其是白龜冠壁畫是寺院的驕傲。
